The NCC Center for the Study of Japanese Religions, established in Kyoto in 1959, is a partner organization of the National Christian Council of Japan (NCCJ) in Tokyo.

The NCC Study Center serves as a global hub for scholars, theologians, and practitioners to explore and engage with the diverse and dynamic traditions of Japanese religion. Through conferences, study programs, and lectures, the Center fosters meaningful dialogue and collaboration among individuals from different faiths and academic disciplines.

In addition to hosting events, the Center is dedicated to scholarly research and publication. It produces esteemed journals and articles, including Japanese Religions, which provide deep insights into the spiritual and cultural dimensions of Japanese religious life.

Rooted in the mission of serving the Gospel, the NCC Study Center continues to promote understanding and cooperation across religious boundaries, contributing to a world enriched by mutual respect and shared knowledge.
